Off: the AI can still use the built-in tools (layers, text, keyframes, effects...) but not free-form scripts. Every AI action is one Undo step (Ctrl+Z).

On: for bigger jobs the AI writes a plan first and can't build until you press Approve in the Plan tab (or say so in chat).

Check that everything works

Makes a small test comp, animates it, renders a frame and a 1-second MP4, then deletes the comp. Takes 10-30 seconds.
